2011 Autumn Equinox: Video Blog!

This week I made a video for you. It’s about the equinox. How it works, what it is, and what it isn’t. There is Irish music in the video, because we all know I love Ireland. And it’s just another reason for you to get inspired and come with me to Ireland next May!

The Equinox is Friday, September 23rd, 2011. If you’re in the Northern Hemisphere that is. Otherwise you’re just getting to Spring! Watch. Comment. Enjoy!

Was looking for something simple, slow, and appropriate for my sharp first graders–just the trick–thanks!

this is SO cool kat – thanks for the great research that’s now gone into my head. i feel like there is now even more time to celebrate the harvest – from the equinox, via the equilux all the way to the dark moon next tuesday – a propitious time indeed for a good old hard core harvest! do you chaps have an ‘apple day’ or ‘apple festival’ over there in the states?

Kat very impressive stuff, I never knew anything about equilux till you enlightened me. I look forward to meeting you and your yoga friends in Spring.

I didn’t know either, until I started researching the Equinox. My next question is, how did our perceived sense of the equinox come to be? And when did the equilux come into play? Looking forward to coming Sheila, Cheers!
